Accounting Clerk

Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for performing a variety of daily accounting functions and providing accounting support to CEO, Controller & other Accounting staff. The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the company's AP, ensures files are complete and maintained as needed and assists accounting personnel. Will function as back up payroll and benefits administrator, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable- Prepare, code, and enter vendor invoices
  • Support Accounting Personnel
  • Input vouchers, invoices, credit card statements, employee expenses, mileage logs and other records into Accounting System
  • Backup for payroll and benefits administration
  • Maintains Accounting records
  • Reconciliation of Company credit cards
  • Bank Deposits
  • Answer telephones
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Assists with additional tasks and assignments as workflow demands

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be well-spoken, personable, and proficient with computers
  • Hands on experience with Excel spreadsheets
  • Must perform all data entry with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately
  • Must be able to recognize errors and audit accounting records
  • Deadline-oriented with the ability to multi-task efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong commitment to quality service
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of staff
  • Maintain Confidentiality of sensitive information and records
  • Self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision
  • High School Diploma

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or relevant certification is a plus
  • 1+ year experience in an accounting/administrative support position
  • Experience in Deltek Vision
  • Ability to function through ambiguity, frequently changing priorities, and varied workflow
