Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial planning and analysis support to the CEO and the Senior Management Team. The analyst will work directly with the CEO and comptroller to provide accurate and meaningful financial analysis for decision making on a regular basis and will assist in monthly financial updates for the company. The position requires an individual who is well-versed in the use of financial analysis tools and techniques. This position's principal objective is to enhance performance and financial reporting, analyze business success through progress toward measured financial objectives, and help inform management decisions.  

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Provide accurate financial reports on a regular basis to ensure the Senior Management Team has the knowledge to make effective business decisions.
2. Provide financial analysis of new business opportunities.
3. Build financial models for the company to support new prospective initiatives.
4. Assist in budget creation, analysis, and reporting.
5. Design additional reports as requested.
6. Attend staff meetings of the operational teams in order to best understand our organization.
7. Solve complex financial problems independently
8. Support the CEO and comptroller in other tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
2. 2 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, and planning
3. Strong written and oral communication skills
4. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint competency
5. Knowledge of accounting standards and reporting
6. Ability to multitask and work independently
7. Knowledge of financial ratios and statistics
8. Experience working with deadlines
9. Must have an acute attention to detail

Preferred Skills

1. Knowledge of the Professional Services / Consulting industry
2. Experience with Deltek Vision
3. MBA preferred
