Senior Corporate Accountant

The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for:

• Overall responsibility for AP, AR, Payroll, and utilization reports
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of payroll, 401k, and subsidiary ledgers
• Budget preparation
• Assist with preparation of tax return, Review of Financials, and Overhead Audit
• Assist with State licensure, registrations, DBE/HUB, and filings
• Preparation of Use/Sales Tax filings
• Development and maintenance of Fixed Asset inventory and depreciation schedules
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Producing and updating accounting-related reports
• Contributing to the development of company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Other similar duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• BBA with Accounting major
• 5+ years of experience in similar role
• Knowledge of accounting regulations and practices (cash and accrual methods), GAAP, and Federal and State tax returns and reporting for S Corporation
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 31
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• CPA preferred
• Experience with Deltek Vision
• Experience with Microsoft Project
• Previous experience supervising and mentoring staff
• Professional services industry experience (particularly A/E)
