Senior Staff Accountant

The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for:

• Month end closing along with G/L accounting, reconciliation, and
• Maintaining fixed asset records and calculating and booking depreciation.
• Supporting annual audit, tax filings, Review of Financials, and Overhead Audit.
• Overall responsibility for AP, AR, Payroll, and utilization reports
• Budget preparation support
• Assist with State licensure, registrations, and filings.
• Preparation of Use/Sales Tax filings
• Producing and updating accounting-related reports
• Contributing to the development of company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ad hoc projects and reports

Required Qualifications:

• BBA with Accounting major
• 5+ years of experience in similar role
• Knowledge of accounting regulations and practices (cash and accrual methods), GAAP, and Federal and State tax returns and reporting for S Corporation
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 31
• Experience with Project Cost Accounting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Deltek Vantage Point
• Experience with Microsoft Project
• Professional services industry experience (particularly A/E)
