Senior Transportation Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing traffic and transportation systems analysis, planning and design.  Develop project scopes, schedules and budgets.  You will be responsible for project staff performance. Other duties as assigned.  Report to Office Manager and Director of Engineering.

Required Skills:

• Degree in engineering, planning or related field.
• PE License in Louisiana or ability to acquire same within 3 months.
• 6 plus years progressive experience performing engineering duties similar to those listed above.  Particular consideration given to experience with Traffic Impact Analysis, corridor mobility, and long-term improvement analysis, and signal/electrical design.
• Expertise with engineering software, programs and methods used for duties described above.
• Must pass background and driver's record check.

Desired Skills:

• 10 plus years experience performing projects similar to those listed above.
• Experience using SYNCHRO, VISSIM and similar modeling software.
• Experience with CADD software.
