ATG is currently seeking a Traffic Design Engineer for our growing Houston, Texas office. This position will be a key hire to help grow our Traffic Engineering practice.

The Traffic Design Engineer will be involved in a variety of projects, including but not limited to signal design plans, signal modifications, traffic control/traffic management plans, signing pavement marking plans, ITS design plans, illumination, and highway design (schematic and PS&E) plans.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in engineering, planning or related field.
• PE License in Texas (or ability to acquire this within 3 months).
• 5 or more years of progressive experience in traffic design engineering.
• Expertise using engineering software (ie., MicroStation), manuals and methodologies required for above projects.

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated success in managing projects to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Strong team-building and team management skills.
• TxDOT precertification in applicable categories.
